Speech on migratory birds and El Salvador's wetlands

For me, giving a speech on migratory birds and El Salvador's wetlands was a very fulfilling experience. I had a deep sense of purpose in spreading awareness about these important ecosystems and its avian residents since it was a topic that was near and dear to my heart as I have a deep passion for the care of these animals and have been working on these asessmblies for over two months. Upon reflection, a few notable personal achievements and highlights come to mind.

First of all, the speech's study procedure was informative. I studied El Salvador's wetlands in great detail, learning about their biological importance, the variety of bird species they support, and the environmental difficulties they endure. This piece of work improved my knowledge and respect of the natural world, which was a benefit to me personally. Also, delivering the speech was a moment of empowerment. Sharing my knowledge and passion for wetlands and migratory birds with an audience from all over the world with countries like the UK, Argentina, USA and Ecudaor allowed me to make a meaningful contribution. The expressions of interest and curiosity from the audience were particularly rewarding, as I was able to offer even more awareness about these beautiful birds that call El Salvador home and those that we host during migration seasons.

Moreover, the audience's participation was one of the most satisfying parts of the event. Both in the Escuela Bilingue Maquilishuat and at the international conference. Individuals came up to me with inquiries, sharing personal tales and worries regarding environmental matters. These discussions promoted a feeling of camaraderie and a common dedication to preserving the environment. It gave me great satisfaction to learn that some people were motivated by my speech to take action or broaden their knowledge of environmental conservation.

My experience with the fifth graders at Maquilishuat Bilingual School and with the 7th grade at the ABC was unforgettable. The children were full of energy and enthusiasm, and it was inspiring to see how engaged they were in the activity. We prepared an interactive presentation that included information about migratory birds and their importance in our ecosystem, as well as how we can help conserve their habitats. The children actively participated, asking questions and sharing their own ideas on how to protect these birds. It was a reminder that educating the younger generation about the importance of conservation is essential to ensure a sustainable future for our migratory birds and the planet as a whole.

The Migratory Bird Day activity at Maquilishuat Bilingual School was not only educational, but also left a lasting impression on the minds and hearts of these young people, instilling in them a greater awareness and commitment to wildlife conservation.
