El LRC y el departamento de español extendieron una invitación a los estudiantes de G6 y G7 para asistir al XVI Festival Internacional de Poesía Infantil un evento cultural que se celebra anualmente en El Salvador. Este año, el festival tuvo lugar el 22 de noviembre y contó con la participación de autores nacionales e internacionales.
Los estudiantes visitaron el Museo de la Palabra y la Imagen (MUPI), donde conocieron las instalaciones del museo y realizaron una visita guiada por las diferentes exposiciones. También tuvieron la oportunidad de interactuar con autores nacionales e internacionales, quienes compartieron sus cuentos y poemas con ellos.
Los autores hablaron sobre su proceso de escritura y sobre la importancia de la lectura. También motivaron a los estudiantes a escribir y a descubrir su talento literario.
Los festivales de poesía infantil son una excelente oportunidad para promover la lectura entre los niños y niñas.
Estos festivales ofrecen a los estudiantes una experiencia enriquecedora que puede despertar su interés por la poesía y la literatura. Los estudiantes pasaron un buen rato en el festival, aprendiendo sobre poesía y conociendo a nuevos autores. También encontraron la experiencia muy inspiradora.

This week the LRC and the Spanish department extended an invitation to G6 and G7 students to attend the XVI International Children's Poetry Festival, a cultural event that is held annually in El Salvador. The festival took place on November 22nd and featured the participation of national and international authors.
The students visited the Museum of the Word and the Image (MUPI), where they learned about the museum's facilities and took a guided tour of the different exhibitions. They also had the opportunity to interact with national and international authors, who shared their stories and poems with them.
The authors spoke about their writing process and the importance of reading. They also encouraged the students to write and to discover their literary talent.
Children's poetry festivals are an excellent opportunity to promote reading among children. These festivals offer students an enriching experience that can spark their interest in poetry and literature. The students had a great time at the festival. They enjoyed learning about poetry and meeting new authors. They also found the experience to be very inspiring.
