Maker Market took place on Monday, December 4th in the large open garden
outside the LRC.
The purpose of the market is to empower ABC makers to delve into
entrepreneurship by developing, promoting and selling their own products.
Profits made from the sale of products at Maker Market will be directed toward
secondary school-supported charities.

Post-pandemic Maker Markets have tended to be smaller than in the
early years of the event and this Maker Market was no different.
That said, participating staff and students were able to provide attendees with a good number of
stalls offering products of exceptional variety.
An exciting development this
year was the addition of mini-maker workshops by some
of staff students, which provided the opportunity for attendees
to try their hand at making the product they were going to buy.
Our student entrepreneurs were off-table most of the day to prepare/set up
and run their little businesses.
In total 25 students took part in in hosting the event. During the day secondary teachers
and students as well as the 5th grade classes were encouraged to visit the Market to join in and partake
in the ambiance. This was a very successful event on the road to
STEAM Fest 2024.
